CS&B Brokers connects qualified buyers and sellers of refined petroleum products and runs the operation to completion. We are a broker and logistics coordinator—not a product owner. Our day‑to‑day work combines three levers: survey (quantity & quality assurance), tank (where and how the product is stored or blended), and tanker/barge (how it moves). We organise these levers into a single, disciplined plan so the trade closes smoothly, especially in Rotterdam/ARA and other European ports.

Why clients choose CS&B

Clients come to us when they need clarity, predictability and speed. We qualify counterparties, structure the procedure in writing, nominate appropriate tanks, secure first‑tier surveyors, and coordinate barges/tankers that actually match tank readiness. We keep you informed, push the process when something stalls, and deliver a clean documentary trail suitable for mainstream trade finance.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We operate B2B only. We are not a bank and we do not provide investment advice. We apply KYC/AML and sanctions screening appropriate to the engagement. We maintain audit‑ready files and limit data collection to what is necessary to deliver the mandate.

What we may request: corporate documents and authorised signatories; a KYC pack (ID, address, UBO declaration); product specs and origin documents; finance instrument terms (if applicable) and contact points for banks or escrow agents.

Anti‑bribery and corruption: zero tolerance. We follow a simple gifts & hospitality policy and decline facilitation payments.

Data privacy: we protect operational data and share it strictly on a need‑to‑know basis.

Document control: we version key documents and encrypt when appropriate.

Case Studies

EN590, spot, Rotterdam — from enquiry to lift in seven days.

A distributor needed EN590 on short notice, with documents suitable for an L/C. We confirmed their brief, shortlisted tanks, and obtained a slot. An independent surveyor performed Q&Q with composite sampling; we aligned the barge schedule with the receiving window and secured the right attestations for finance. The cargo lifted on time with a full, clean documentary pack.

Component blending and relocation within ARA — spec window achieved.

A trading client planned a blend using three components. We secured segregated capacity, coordinated blending steps with terminal and surveyor, and iterated lab feedback to hit spec. The final product met target parameters and was moved to a sister terminal. Losses were within tolerance, and the buyer accepted at first presentation.

Controlled STS ahead of export — schedule protected.

Berth availability at the primary terminal was limited. We engineered a time‑bound STS with surveyor attendance, built a pumping plan with contingency, and kept the export schedule intact. Quantities were validated and the vessel sailed as planned.

Where we operate?

We are strongest in Rotterdam/ARA, but we regularly work across major European ports through trusted partners. If your flow touches ARA—component intake, blending, tank injection, redistribution by barge, or deep‑sea lifts—we can shorten decision time and reduce friction.

Rotterdam is Europe’s largest energy port and the anchor of the ARA hub. Capacity, connectivity and established procedures make it the natural choice for diesel, gasoil and component flows. We operate here daily, so we know how to keep things moving—from pre‑advice and port community steps to tank readiness and barge scheduling.

In ARA, we handle the full range of flows—component intake, blending, redistribution, tank injection, and barge lifts. Our role is to align tank segregation, blending steps, inspections, and Q&Q so that every product meets specification and moves on time. From dip tests and paperwork to intra- or inter-terminal transfers, we coordinate the details with surveyor oversight and the right attestations for settlement.

Beyond Rotterdam, we extend the same discipline through trusted partners across Europe. Share your route with us and we will confirm what’s realistic in terms of tanks, surveyors, and fixtures—so you can count on smooth execution and clear decisions wherever your flows need to go.

FAQS with clear answers

Do you own product?

No. We act as an independent broker and logistics coordinator. Our role is to organise the operation and documentation so the trade can complete safely and on time.

Which surveyors do you use?

We work with recognised, independent survey firms. Selection depends on the product, timing and availability in the port.

Can you secure tanks quickly?

We can usually propose options in 48–72 hours from mandate, subject to market conditions and the spec you require.

We update the plan, re‑sequence steps where necessary, and keep all parties informed. Our goal is to protect the schedule and the integrity of the documentary pack.

Typically a limited retainer plus a success fee when the transaction closes. Exact terms are agreed in writing, case by case.
